Booking fees
For consultations the transferable booking fee will be £50 charge – with the above terms applied. For all treatment appointment types, other than those specified in the T&C’s, we will ask you for a £50 booking fee to be paid at booking. This can be paid via debit card, or cash in person or via bank transfer. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheque’s.
For First Consultations of new clients – 100% of the booking fee will be redeemed the cost of your treatment at your appointment for that specific treatment only. This complementary deduction will expire if the treatment occurs after 6 months of the date of consultation.
If cancellation of any appointment occurs in less than the 48 hours’ notice time, the previously stated the booking fee will not be refunded and you will be charged the full amount of the booking fee (usually £50 or £25 for phlebotomy appointments or specified booking fee for that treatment which was cancelled late). This can take up to 10 working days to be credited back to your card.

For people with recurrent emergency cancellations, Purple Aura retains the right retain the whole booking fee without explanation if terms are not met.
Energy based machines such as but not limited to Lumina (laser/ipl) treatments, and other treatments not listed, require strict following of pre -care instructions; failure to follow these instructions could result in harm if we were to proceed and treat you. Due to the length & nature of these appointments, a booking fee of 50% will be required. If on the day pre care has not been adhered to, treatment will be declined for your safety and your booking fee will be non refundable and non transferable.
Larger treatments
Larger treatments (such as but not limited to, dermal filler packages or facial profiling or energy based machines) that require very long appointments will also contain a 50% booking fee with the Appointment Cancellation Policy conditions applying.
Legal & Professional Requirements
We are committed to providing the highest standards of safety and care at [Clinic Name]. In line with new guidelines from the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) [1st June 2025], we are updating our treatment and prescribing policies.
Key Changes:
- All prescriptions require a face-to-face consultation with your prescriber.
- For repeat treatments (e.g., Botox), an in-person review is required following each treatment. As part of this review a consultation frame work will be created to ensure that if there are changes to your medical history, medications or supplements, allergies, general condition or if the period lapses longer than 6 months; a nother face to face consultation will be prescribed.
- It is the clients’/patients’ responsibility to provide accurate information and update Purple Aura regarding any changes.
Prescription treatments
For prescription treatments there will be a non-refundable, but transferable (against the cost of your treatment) booking fee of 50%. This is because the products used for treatment can be prescribed and used only for you.
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment; as long as you provide us with 48 hours’ notice, your product can be held for 6 months and can be used at a later date but only at your next appointment. After 6 months the product will be discarded and not be eligible for a refund. If there are changes to your medical history or medication within that period, you will be required to have a new consultation incurring an extra charge.
If the period of notice given is short of the 48hours required, your products will be held for 6 month, but there will be an additional charge of £50 at the point of use of products. Due to prescribing regulations the products will not be able to be administered by another practitioner outside of Purple Aura and therefore cannot be given to you for use elsewhere. After 6 months the product will be discarded in accordance with legal requirements and not be eligible for a refund.
Consultation Appointment Slots
Consultations for aesthetic procedures at Purple Aura charged at £50. This cost of your first consultation is is redeemable should you continue to have a treatment at Purple Aura – meaning that your consultation then becomes complimentary. Should you chose not to have a treatment at Purple Aura, the £50 will be retained for the time and expert advice provided in the lengthy consultation. You are free to use that advice anywhere.
Consultation appointment slots are standalone appointments in which the client and the clinician discuss treatment, but none is carried out. There may be treatments where patch tests are required to be carried out so please ensure you have read your pre and post care forms that are emailed to you on booking your appointments.
For review consultations for specific treatments there are shorter consultations slots available and cost £30. The cost is not redeemable.
Refusal of Treatments
We as practitioners reserve the right to refuse treatment where our clinicians deem it inappropriate for any reason. The clinician’s decision is final in this regard and where a fee has been paid this will be a non-refundable in accordance with reasoning laid out in T&C’s.
