Plane Warts

Plane warts are small fleshy coloured or pigmented blemishes, very slightly raised, often dry and crusty flat topped lesions, which most commonly appear on the decolletage.

Cause

Plane warts are viral and highly contagious and may occur anywhere but especially on the hands, limbs and face.

Treatment

The tip of a small probe (about the size of an eyelash) will gently remove the wart from the skin a small stinging sensation may be experienced as the wart is treated.

Following Treatment

You may experience a slight reddening and / or swelling or the skin in the area

Warmth in the area that has been treated

A crust will form

The skin may feel itchy as the healing process takes place
